Okay, in my last post I promised to explain why I missed a post two weeks ago. Here is my explanation, my cat Dusty. I have had Dusty since I was seven years old, and two days previously she had figured out how to open the door and let herself out. She was out and about for an entire day and I was loosing hope that I would find her. She was returned to me Sunday night, I was too distracted by worry and grief to even think about writing a post.
For those who have been reading my work for a while have already been introduced to Dusty before, but under a different name. Within the Death’s Assistant series, Dusty was introduced as Dusted Light within the second book, Azrael. The description given to the character matches the real Dusty perfectly. Within the story, she can be very proud around strangers, but is very sweet to her mother, Alba, same as how Dusty is with me.
It broke me apart not knowing where she was that weekend, it would have been painful to be without my writing buddy forever. To not have her cuddled against me as I write. I know that this will happen one day, but thankfully it is not today.
