Sorry for the little break between posts everyone, life has been a bit crazy.
So, for those in countries who celebrate the holiday, yesterday was Mother’s Day, a day in celebration of mothers and all they do for us. For this post, i would like to refer to a group that doesn’t get as much positive press as they should, and that is mother-in-laws.
Within cinema, television, and books mother-in-laws are typically shown to be awful, controlling, and cruel women who tend to cause problems. In some cases that may be true, but I am lucky enough that I do not have this issue. My mother in law, Sonja, is a wonderful woman who is always eager to help where she can. Due to her and my husband’s help, I have created a new series that I will be trying to publish one day. The character and some of the stories mentioned within the book are based on stories and family members of theirs who survived WW2. Hopefully, I can find a literary agent who will be interested in representing the book.
