Suicide

It is a sad world we live in where this is actually something that needs to be discussed. I know that you guys are probably thinking that I will be talking about bullying and suicide, since bullying is my main subject of discussion at the moment, but that will not be the case today.

Today I just want to say that one of the first people who bought my Silver Dove books, a good friend of mine, has recently committed suicide. I just want to tell everyone that if you are feeling that this is something you should do, that you are alone, don’t believe that. This is something that should never be done, and you are not alone. People hide behind masks so you may not realize that the person standing next to you may be going through the exact same thing, they would just never want to tell you.

In every state they have suicide hotlines for those who are thinking about committing this act, the bigger cities even have ones dedicated to just their city. If you need to talk, there are always therapists like me who will be willing to speak to you. Death is never an escape, it is the end, don’t confuse the two.

There will always be someone willing to listen, you just need to find them.

  1. It is so hard to imagine that someone could look to suicide as an escape from pain, when it causes so much pain for so many other people!?

    • Maybe, but nobody is truly within the right mindset when they plan on doing something like this. We all have our struggles, and sometimes death might seem like the only way to get out of it. When you are within that frame of mind, you don’t even think about how others would feel.
